What earns a point?
Haha tapbacks and custom 😂 or 🤣 reactions count as hahas. Love and Emphasized are tracked separately. Self-reactions are excluded. Replaced and removed reactions are resolved by the exporter.
A rate, not a hit rate.
Hahas per message divides received hahas by messages sent. Multiple friends can react to one message, so the rate can exceed 1. A zero-message period has no defined rate. Efficiency awards require at least 25 messages.
Timing matters.
Periods count messages sent and reactions added within that window, still active at its end. Reactions can land on older messages. The rate is an activity ratio, not the chance that a new message gets a laugh.
Records can be shared.
Equal scores share a rank and all record holders get credit. “One message” records count the period’s active haha additions to that message. No one gets a secret tiebreaker.
A snapshot of the chat.
History reflects the messages and reaction events retained on the exporting device. It updates when new JSON exports are added, not in real time. Dates are displayed in UTC; calendar buckets follow the exporter’s timezone.
It’s not a personality test.
More messages mean more chances to get a reaction. Tiny samples make rates swing. These are descriptions of chat activity, not a verdict on anyone’s humor, popularity, or friendships.
